A partir desta quinta-feira (28), os petropolitanos começam a receber em suas residências os carnês para pagamento do Imposto Predial e Territorial Urbano (IPTU). Serão entregues, no total, 92.993 talões.
O imposto, que é empregado em melhorias em saúde, educação, infraestrutura, entre outras áreas, deve gerar receita de R$63.100.000 ao município, somado à taxa de coleta de lixo.
O valor do imposto teve reajuste de 7% este ano. “A Unidade Fiscal do município tem como premissa a reposição da inflação, que acontece anualmente. No exercício de 2011, o reajuste foi de 5%, com inflação de 6%. O reajuste foi feito levando-se em conta a previsão para o corrente ano”, explicou o Secretário de Fazenda, Hélio Volgari.
A primeira parcela tem vencimento em 23 de janeiro. No entanto, quem optar pelo pagamento da primeira cota única, que vence na mesma data, tem desconto de 10%. A segunda cota, cuja data limite é 23/02, garante desconto de 7%. Já aqueles que efetuarem o pagamento até 20 de março terão abatimento de 5%.
Em caso de não recebimento do carnê até o dia 6 de janeiro, é possível solicitar a segunda via do documento na página da Prefeitura (http://www.petropolis.rj.gov.br/) ou retirá-la na sede da Secretaria de Fazenda, na Rua 16 de Março, 183 (1º Andar) – Centro.
